We drove up the mountain yesterday – along with a sizable portion of Metro Vancouver – and the reward?

The City of Vancouver....under fog
Balmy, 14 degree weather, panoramic, silent views of a fog bank that had completely obliterated the entire city -and everything beyond. Simply gorgeous! This current temperature inversion has created a situation where at ground level we are near Zero and just slightly above, and that cold air is trapped under a thick layer of fog. The higher up you go, the warmer it gets, and on Cypress yesterday people were in their short sleeves tanning away the day. And although I have gorgeous sun this morning at my house up on the hill, I hear its foggy everywhere else again, so head on up to the local ski hills and picnic out. This is what’s waiting for you…
