Premier Christy Clark : “Better a MILF, than a cougar.”

Every once in a while, something wicked this way comes… and in this case, wickedly embarrassing for the premier… or at least worthy of a face-palm for the rest of us.  This post might land me on someone’s naughty list, but seriously? I couldn’t pass on it…

Yesterday morning, Dec 19th, a good friend and reader in Powell River who listens to the morning show from Courtenay radio station, Jet FM, let me know that Christy was on air and that the conversation was pretty darn funny. Funny if you think being called a MILF ( mother I’d love to f#*k) is a compliment, that is. Well, apparently, our Premier thinks this is a great compliment, her words, not mine.

Well, of course I had to email the morning host, Drex http://www.jetfm.ca/on_air/drex/ and ask him if what I heard was true, and sure enough, it was….

Unbelievably, Christy shares her personal views on being a MILF in response to a question from the host, at the 1:38 mark. And speaking as a woman with a sense of humour as well, and intelligence, I don’t find it very…. endearing.

Talk about setting women back in politics !! She thinks being a MILF is better than a cougar, and when people tell her that, she thanks them and takes it as a compliment. For the love of everything respectful about her position, I introduce to you, our  Premier who likes being a MILF.

Embarrassing for female politicians everywhere, yes, however,  it is particularly befitting both her #1 spot on Santas Top Five Naughty Liberals and her appearance on the Vixens of Vancouver list….

Is that a Grrrowwwl…. I hear, Christy?

Too bad she didn’t use this air time to solicit gifts for kids in ministry care who aren’t in foster care yet, or other kids in poverty… or even think about how her own son might be embarrassed by this …

Christy, still wondering why women don’t like you?

  1. Does the woman even have a clue what a milf is? Long ago she gave me enough reasons to never vote for her or any party member (including what ever party the reincarnate into), that interview lowered her even further, I would be more inclined to vote for Sarah Palin ( best use for both of them would be to tag team each other in a comedy routine) . Are there no limits to the depths she is willing to crawl and take the rest of the province to?

    1. you’re right she probably does. The Liebral brand of politics aside liking a show like that is just another reason to not want her anywhere near politics in this province.
I did not have much of a problem with her as a raidio host, I could always vote against her each show by turning it off or going to another station. I keep trying to change the station and she is still premier, even the off switch does not work.

    1. It made me cringe too Harold… I guess there is a time and place for everything, and while it is great to have a sense of humour, there were so many ways to have handled that question…. saying you think its a compliment and you say thank you…. is not one of them..lol.

I think she tries to come off as being cool and hip,but it only comes off as demeaning of her position. In particular with all her recent talk about respect etc….

  5. Thanks Irene. I do have to thank my good friend Wendy in Powell River though – shes the one who heard it live on air and told me about it. Contacted the station immediately asking fo audio and the morning jock loaded it up and sent it to me.

But don’t forget, it’s been a good year for her… considering her views on being a milf… perhaps now we know why. 🙂

  6. Astoundingly bad interview of a truly stupid woman; in the end, I don’t know which remark was stupider – the one where she ‘takes as a compliment’ the notion that she’s a MILF or her concluding statement that …”…we don’t treat water as ‘precious’ as we should.”

How this woman EVER became premier of anything is incomprehensible.

BTW, have you heard from any social workers in the field about the ministry’s ‘Grinch’ policy?.

  7. She’s a disgrace to the position, to Canadians in general, and I don’t understand how someone who’s doing so badly can be so flippant and joyful about creating bad situations.
Jobs impacts is the the correct wording.. no jobs for Canadians on their own soil, no training unless you’re from China and no free language classes for Canadians like they do for immigrants. They get to learn our language at taxpayer cost and there is no reciprocation. I’d love to get tutored in Mandarin so I can understand a 1/4 of what this country is saying….

… and Clark is no MILF.. that’s an insult to all the other MILF’s.

  8. Looking at the different photographs of our Premier, something is becoming very evident. Look back at pictures of her on this post and others.

-first notice small size of head
    -short eyelid opening
    -low nasal bridge
    -epicanthal folds
    -flat midface
    -short nose
    -smooth philtrum
    -thin upper lip
    -underdeveloped jaw
    -stunted growth
    -weight problems

I’ll let you guess which Syndrome this is associated with, but it explains her eratic behaviour, unsolicitated responses, defective memory and social skills, emotional hyperactive verbal responses.

    Interesting.

  10. Hey guys,

I approached MacLean Kay for the interview, as I know they were shopping her around for the holidays. I never once planned on asking her any serious questions at all, thats not my job, I’m not a journalist. Our show isn’t about hard news or politics. We’re purely about helping people in the Comox Valley & Giving people a laugh in the morning. It’s our company policy that we’re not allowed AT ALL to take sides on any issue whatsoever. I appreciate Laila for contacting me for the audio, I’m happy to share it with you all.

That is the nature of your biz – to entertain, and you did, with gusto!!

I think you did what your job required you to do, and you provided entertainment to your listeners..Drex…if I saw more to your morning entertainment segment, with the premier, than you anticipated… that is my doing, not yours.

No one, <em>in particular not your employer, should question your obvious talent as a fun radio host.

If anyone gives you flak for what our premier said on your show, put it back on me – not on you, or your show. She said it, not you.

She is a premier. Not an evening entertainment bunny…. and with that comes an amount of responsibility for her mouth, which she has yet to master.

      Courage my friend… courage.

It is in no way your fault that the premier is in such a bad spot politically, that Mr Maclean”Lucha Libre”Kay had to shop her around for Christmas… Not unlike a 75% off sale at Superstore…. ; )

    2. Hello Drex
I suspect I am much older than you so I recall a world where people in certain positions such a radio hosts or Premiers of provinces used something known as “common sense’ when conducting their buisness. Please tell me that you never once questioned whether this question would be appropriate to whom was your guest. There are many in the care of this woman, the sick, the elderly, the homeless the poor, who pray that the person responsible for the running of this province would be above these childish, adolescent games and in return for their trust not withstanding the pay and perks afforded this woman
My take on this is that is an occasion of two fools sharing what was clearly their childish antics at the publics expense, yourself and Christy Clark. Two fools showing their lack of respect to the rest of the province. By the way how exactly did you see this as helping the people in the comox valley? Did you feel this gives them hope??

While Drex may have pushed the limits of “good taste” with some of the questions he asked on HIS show. It’s his show to run as he sees fit.
He’s not there to lob softball questions to the Premier like the rest of the spineless MSM in this bankrupt province.
        As for the Premier’s office.
Maclean Kay was the idiot that should have done a little more research into the radio station demographics and the type of show the dj runs before agreeing to the interview.

If a non political, happy go lucky dj from an Island radio station can put the premier on the spot with a few “off color” questions…..
Can you imagine what a real political reporter with a spine could do?

Don I hear what you are saying, but this station is not a news station, nor a talk radio station – compare to any of the local morning radio shows where people listen to music and banter on the way to work – not unlike the Fox/Rock 101. I personally dont think it’s right to attack this host for the premiers stupidity. He asked, she happily went along down that trail all on her own.

No freakin’ wonder the world has lost so much respect for this country, it’s laws and inhabitants!! If our own senior politicians (Harper/Clark) are seen to be fools by their counterparts in other countries, there is little hope left for Canada as a whole.

  13. Ms. Clark diving for the bottom again; I’ve spent some time this afternoon trying to re-attach my lower jaw…it hit the table when I listened to CC’s interview, where she willingly accepted the title of MILF. In my view, May 2013 can’t come soon enough and I hope the Lie-beral brand will disappear forever in BC. We’ve suffered through Gordo and now Crispy. Time for other parties to rise and fill the gap; perhaps we also need to examine having some ground rules about who can fill a public post such as that of Premier.

In some countries, you actually require a completed education before you can take on a position of this responsibility. Why not have politicians who have at the very least, a political science degree? What a novel thought! We require educational standards for our physicians, lawyers, teachers, university professors, architects, engineers and pretty well any other person of responsibility. Yet individuals such as the for-mentioned, hold little if any level of expertise to substantiate they have either ability and integrity to fulfill the role they hold. Being a talk show host should not in this writers opinion, be sufficient. The role of government is complex, multifold and holds the keys to the success of it’s public; its primary focus should be to act for the betterment of it’s people. In essence a governments role should be that of “Public Service”, not “Public Fleecing”, which appears to be more the standard these days. Lets not forget the spending spree on BC tax dollars advertising the BC Liberal Job Plan (AKA – Lets re-elect CC.).

On another note, what remains staggering in BC, is the lack of journalistic credibility in exposing the truth respective to tawdry and uninspired politicians. So far Alex Tsakumis appears to be one of the few who in my view, has the guts to say it like it is. If our journalists can’t stand independently where mismanagement and scandal are concerned, then they too might be seen as complicit and lacking moral fibre.

    1. Croft, you’ve brought up another issue entirely that speaks to why politics is full of idiots – lack of any real experience. It is remarkable that while government employees must meet professional and educational requirements, our politicians dont seem to need anything other than a willingness to run.

In the case of premier, in my opinion, you should have a solid background of business and professional experience and yes, a solid degree. The Premier dropped out university, and tries to spin that on her bio as ” Studied at…” thereby implying a degree to many who might read that.

I’ve been writing here for a long, long time about scandal and mismanagment, all it takes is look at my best of page, or simply searching through by topic. There isnt a project that hasnt been picked apart and I’ve broken some very big stories, as have other independents. P3’s, bidding irregularities, IPP’s Kinsella, there is a lot on these pages you won’t find anywhere else.

      1. D. Croft stated “In some countries, you actually require a completed education before you can take on a position of this responsibility.”…..
        Which democratic countries?
As for requiring educational standards ” at the very least, a political science degree” for our politicians because they hold a position of responsibility similar to “doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc.etc.”.
I consider that an insult to anyone that does not hold a university degree( myself included).
To assume that people without a secondary education are somehow unqualified( too intellectually ignorant?) to hold public office and be able to do an adequate job because, ” The role of government is complex” reeks of elitist snobbery.
Some of the smartest people I have ever met had little or no education and some of the stupidiest people I have ever met are university educated boors that can only repeat verbatim whatever their Professor has spewed forth.

However I do agree with your statement that ‘ The role of government should be for the betterment of the people”….
All the education in the world wont fix greed…….
In fact , the more educated a person becomes, the greedier they seem to be….. student loan debt perhaps?

        1. No insult intended on my part nonconfidence, I agree with much of your comment, but I do think we need to hold parties accountable who run fools simply to fill a spot in a riding. There should be some standard to look to, whether it be education, background, knowledge, etc… it’s simply not enough to choose a candidate simply because they put their name forth, and in fact, it brings down the credibility of a party as a whole to do so.

        2. No offence taken Laila,
Just get my “hackles up” when I hear, or see, this ridiculous subject of “lack or education” dragged up to be kicked around. The US demands that their president be a U.S. born citizen and be over the age of 45. Thats it. Canada doesnt require the Prime Minister to be Canadian born or of a minimum age ( which raises the hideous notion of fomer drama teacher Justin Trudeau being the next PM!).
Neither country has an “educational minimum requirement’ that I’m aware of.
The voters decide if a person is an uneducated idiot or not.
No amount of university credits would change the fact that Christy Clark is a self absored, bullshitter with delusions of grandeur OR merely a buffoon suffering from a serious case of “foot in mouth” disease.
          She’s an idiot ! Period!
The election in May cannot come soon enough.

Formal education does not seem to make much difference but I do find it surprising how many political party leaders have phd’s at a guess when it comes to being a competent political leader these highly educated people seem to be capable of being duds every bit as much as the ones with no formal eduction. At a minimum though we should set a standard that any aspiring leader should not be aspiring to be a milf as well.

  14. I think Drex did a great job in exposing the filter-free mouth of this monstrously incompetent, dumbfoundingly stupid person who holds the office of premier. It was her responsibility and hers alone to not take the bait. As a public official, she ought to expect that no question is off limits unless it affects her personal life and family. This is truly the last straw and the citizens should demand an immediate election, can we really afford another 5 months of this nonsense? What will be interesting to see is if Clark campaigns on her MILF label, or in accordance with her flip-flopping style, will she campaign as a cougar?

  15. Waterboy, in particular as one BC Con states on his blog post about this, she took such a hard line to Richard Branson when he offered naked kiteboarding to her…. :

” You’ll remember when she (along with the media) ripped into gazillionaire Richard Branson for asking Clark to go naked kite-sailing:

“Lots of young women I hope want to run for politics. I think when you meet with the CEO of a billion dollar company who wants to do business with your province, you can get a little bit more respectful treatment than that.” (see here)

Turns out Branson had her pegged all along.”

So… if that was such a big story when Branson talked down to Christy, why isnt this a big story when Christy admits she thinks being a MILF is a compliment?

No worries, this post has seen phenomenal traffic since I broke it on the 20th.

It is hard to blame the media outlets who take up the offer and put the premier on display but that doesn’t mean that this incident isn’t a huge black eye for Ms Clark and very illustrative of her more or less complete lack of judgment.

There was a lot to criticize about Gordon Campbell and the way he behaved when he was premier but one couldn’t say of him that he wasn’t on top of the issues and capable of defending and forwarding his agenda – even if it was an agenda that ignored about 80% of the population. Christy Clark, on the other hand, seems totally disengaged and ignorant of what her government programs and plans are.

That says a lot about the shape of the BC Liberals as they prepare for the 2013 election
