Interestingly enough, after Basi and Virk pleaded guilty in exchange for that payout of taxpayers money for their legal fees, Aneal Basi’s money laundering charges related to the case were stayed… as detailed and linked to above. Agent K has provided several links within his story.

Aneal Basi now works in the financial services industry...  with an institution that deals with foreign exchange and other international currency payments.

***RCMP have now released a photo of Shalendra Kumar Sharma, after first refusing to in their initial warning to the public this morning, a move I applaud. While I understand completely the need to exercise diligence in investigations, law enforcement must always consider the potential threat to the public at large when making such decisions. In this case, my opinion is the potential to compromise an investigation into previous victims did not justify the far greater threat to women in the community who have a right to know about a dangerous sexual predator at large. I thank the RCMP on behalf of all women in the community for reversing this decision, and urge my readers to share this photo with everyone you know. ***

A big fail to the RCMP this morning, as they take the step of warning women about an extremely dangerous sexual predator from Surrey, who has been released on bail while for trial for a series of sexual assaults and forcible confinement over a number of years.

The catch is, RCMP  refuse to release his photo -despite saying they are worried and need to warn the public –  which they say could compromise ongoing investigations into finding other victims - thereby putting all women at risk because we have no idea what this predator looks like.

However, RCMP have released a photo of one of his vehicles and a licence plate # …. click on the link for that photo.

There is so much that could be said about this situation, which mirrors others I have written about in the past. Releasing men they know are dangerous because the law allows them to… only to have them re-offend again, while on bail, as the offender did in the link preceding this sentence.  Something has to change.

Burnaby Mounties have issued a rare warning, as a man accused of sexual and violent crimes against women is released from custody.

43-year-old Shalendra Kumar Sharma was released two days ago as he awaits trial.

That has police worried, because they say the Surrey man is extremely dangerous.

Sharma was the subject of a news conference in February, after he was charged with four counts of sexual assault against four different women between 1994 and 2011.

He is also charged with four counts of confining women, two counts of assault and one count each of kidnapping and uttering threats.

While Mounties are not releasing Sharma’s photo, saying it could compromise their investigation as they look for other victims, they are releasing vehicle information.

Sharma is  currently driving a red 2007 Ford Escape with BC license plate 008 RWG.

In the past he has driven a 2003 blue Ford Explorer, a 1997 red for Explorer and a 1991 red Pontiac Sunbird.

Forgive me for using a bit of theatrics, but once might compare my relative quiet absence from this blog, to the eery calm sometime experienced immediately prior to a large storm. And I am only partially kidding when I say that.

 I have been very busy with both further research and developments relating to the followup to Playing with the dragon: Who is looking after Canadian interests?  This story spawned a fury of phishing and intrusion attacks on my computer and site, all unsuccessful. One dedicated entity even hacked into two contacts email addresses, and used them to send emails with viral attachments  in my direction, again unsuccessfully since I have very knowledgable tech friends who have taken care of these things well. Apparently the subject matter touched a nerve somewhere.

I will also have finally a compelling report on corruption in BC… and why we are helpless to stop it with our current provincial and federal governments. Think Quebec is corrupt? British Columbia has been flying under the radar for a long time…

Delta police have now called off the search as Daniel has returned home and is safe. Thank you to everyone who posted this to facebook and twittered, shared and emailed it around. A happy ending for both Daniel and family!

Daniel Dean Letendre, 34, has been missing and without contact with his family since Saturday night, at his family home in North Delta.

He is  completely deaf and suffers from mental health issues, and was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jeans and a grey/white ski jacket where the top is separated from the navy blue bottom by a yellow stripe. He was carrying a large navy blue duffle bag. He is a large man, standing approximately 6’1″, and around 230 lbs.

He was captured on a security cam in North Surrey early Sunday morning, but has still not made contact or been found. If he has travelled by skytrain, he could be anywhere so please keep your eyes open.

His family is  very worried about him, and his sister, whom I know, is beside herself with concern right now. She wants people to know that Daniel is a gentle soul,  incredibly honest and very believing of others, which makes him very, very vulnerable out there alone.

Please, if you have seen Daniel,  or find him, or have had contact with him, please call Delta police, who are investigating his disappearance, and looking for him, at 604-946-4411 or your local RCMP detachment where you are located. And please share this with others.

Please, if anyone knows Wally ( I’m a movie star) Oppal, please tell him I think there is something so sick, so wrong, about his choice to take a role, as a gunshot victim in a movie about a serial killer – period. His personal choice makes a mockery of his current public standing overseeing the inquiry,and his lack of concern for public perception is astounding, appalling and highly offensive on many levels.

”  …reply from the Office of the Premier was received April 27, 2012.  The Premier’s Office has informed me that the letter has been forwarded onto the Minister of the Environment, Terry Lake.  Minister Lake has the power to reclaim our right.  I have posted the reply below.

Because it is not clear to me that Dr. Lake will reply to my letter once he has discussed it with his officials,  I sent the following letter to Dr. Lake.
