Nowhere, because it simply doesn’t jive with all the hoopla being shoved down the throats of British Columbians by the local propaganda floggers…
However, Ian Reid rides to the rescue with this outstanding mention:
Earlier I posted about the important role the HST has played in the slowdown of the Canadian economy. Statistics Canada reported this morning that the Gross Domestic Product fell over the last quarter, the first time since August 2009.
I noted that the TD bank was blaming the HST for the drop. Now, Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada, The Royal Bank and Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty have chimed in and they all agree – the HST carries a big part of the blame. It seems like we have a bandwagon.
There are two things about that.
The HST impact is concentrated in two provinces, BC and Ontario. That suggests the slowdown is much greater in our province and in Ontario. In other words ‘the greatest thing we can do for BC’s economy’ is turning into the greatest thing we can do for lost profits and jobs.
Here’s the second. You’d think this would be a big story in BC, front page, top of the broadcast news. It seems to meet the criteria of a story. It’s current, it affects every British Columbian and it’s not just speculation, there’s proof. Plus there’s the little thing that BC and Ontario are dragging the entire national economy into negative territory. Add it all up and it seems big to me.
But I’m a blogger. What do I know about a real story…
Go read the rest of this post , Reality used to be a friend of mine, now.

Thanks Leila for the shout out.
No need for thanks Ian, I’m just so glad you are out there fighting the good fight, in more ways than one! We need more like you in the ranks, no?

Well, acccording to Vanilla Bill on ‘NW, and the Liberal Spokesman Keith Baldry, you know even less than us people that read them!
Surprise HST is causing middle class and below to stop spending , it was predicted by many observers.
The MSM – Liberal freinds Baldry Bill Good and others dont work based on facts its what PAB sends them most days that matter has been for about 10 yrs of it now lets not start telling truths now.
The HST was designed for, big business, and big business only. BC is a province, of natural resources. The people of BC, will not benefit from the HST, all that has happened, with the HST, is prices went through the roof. I haven’t saved a dime from the HST, my costs have gone way up. The provincial budget, was bad enough, with all the tax hikes. Add the HST pretty much on everything, but a few basic groceries, there will be evictions and utility cut offs. Where the budget doesn’t get you, the HST does. I don’t have the money, to support the restaurants, bakeries, or clothing stores. I have to do without many things, I used to treat myself with. This winter, is going to be grim, for many citizens. Campbell, Hansen and Harper’s stupidity, of forcing the HST on to BC people, who have still not recovered, from the recession, is asinine. Where are these jobs, the HST was supposed to create? Small businesses, are closing their doors, every day. There are people who, will not be able to survive the winter. Harper is supposed to be a Christian, I see nothing Christian, about his motives.
