Christy Clark, new premier, ex-talk show host… and the woman who loves to find out “if you can fart in a bottle and save it for later.” – by watching MANswers

Yes, this is the person who is steering the ship now, my friends, read and weep:

Christy Clark doesn’t watch a lot of TV. But when she does, she wants quality. Which is why her favourite show at the moment is MANswers. ( http://www.spike.com/shows/manswers * warning explicit content on this site – LY)

“You’ve never heard of it?” she said, somewhat astounded. “It’s on Spike TV.”

The CKNW hotline radio host flips to a deep, manly man’s announcer voice.

“‘How big do boobs have to be before they can crush a beer can? Stay tuned! MANswers, coming up next!’ Stuff like that.”

She laughs, then switches back to the deep voice. “‘Can you fart in a bottle and save it later for your friends?’ ‘Can poo save your life?’ Then they’ll go to commercial break, and it’s always in that voice. It’s totally tantalizing, you can’t wait to find out.

“Then they have some guy on who’s a gastroenterologist from Stanford or a physicist from Stanford, real people with real credentials and they’re on MANswers doing tests determining how large each breast would actually have to be in order to crush a beer can. And if it’s a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer can, does it crush quicker than something else?

“And these are, like, real people. It’s fantastic.

There you have it folks. Christy Clark loves Manswers and you know that is going to secure a lot of votes in the He-man, frat boy, beer bong demographic.  Straight from the archives of the Sport Section. But you will have to click on the link to find out her other weird( ??) habit.

Now scroll down for a real story.

  1. OMG – what sort of world do these politicians live in ? For sure it isn’t the real world – as evidenced by their cut throat penny pinching and lies – and everything is alright then !!!

I wonder how long it will be before there is anger on Chrust Clark and her refusal to even look at the corrupt BC Rail sale. Then of course, there is the BC Liberal versionof open government and the real version of open government – neither will serve to regain public confidence in the dishonest BC Liberal party.

That being said – Crusty is a better choice than Kevin Falcon.

    Thanks

  2. With a bit of luck she will be so involved with such questions she will have little time to spend causing damage to the province.
If I could think of something nice to say about her I would but, unfortunately i can think of no words.

  3. Manswers? Maybe the divorce was more traumatic than we thought! That’s not healthy in a role model. I’d rather our society (especially the children) looked up to Alexandra Morton, Betty K., Harriet Nahanni and Laila Yuile! Among so many other women of courage, conviction and strength that make this province great.

The scariest thing is that Christy actually seems to believe that. What a world she must live in, there’s people like her and Pam and Bill, then there’s the rest of us trying to capture flatulence for … she’s just weird.

  6. What a sad excuse for a politician. The cat they signed up probably had more intelligence for Petes sake. Now we are going to be an international laughing stock if she talks like that to visiting dignitaries. As a matter of fact, I think I have a pet rock somewhere that is smarter than Crusty the Clown.

Now my Fellow citizens it is not that I do not care about the direction our elected Masters have taken that I present as I do It is because I am aware of the overall direction the world is going in and , for the life of me can’t understand why so little is being said and talked about in that regard.
What comes across to me is that by-in-large BCers talk as though they are either immune to the worlds corporations strangle hold or they are totally unaware of it.
Have a view at this to get the missing perspective

    1. Good morning everyone! All telling commentary, and many emails have come in from former- yes, former- Christy supporters who are shocked that such things would come out of her familes first mouth. I will be posting some of them later as time allows.

Certainly, her first act as premier designate should be to apply some of the listening skills she claims to have developed at NW and call for an independent public inquiry into the sale of BC rail. That is, if she can tear herself away from Manswers long enough.

Great link RossK- you should all go over and check that one out at the link above. Wow. The zingers just keep coming. I personally think a lot of her ” opinions” from her time on the airwaves at NW are going to come back to haunt her.

  8. It seems Christy Clark is the best, the BC Liberals have to offer. Rumor has it, Campbell will still be running the show. Campbell has crucial plots, that he won’t trust Christy to handle on her own. Same as Campbell’s corrupt sale of the BCR. Campbell is a control freak, no-one is permitted to operate anything on their own. He led that corrupt sale, from start to finish. Campbell controls by threat, anyone opposing him found themselves without a job, and they still will. We will be seeing evidence, of Campbell behind the scene. I have spotted something already, and will wait and see if I am correct.

  9. You don’t know anything about Christy, she is a great mom, cares about all children and would never say anything like this! She is highly educated, and can help all parents with her family first beliefs. Why don’t you go get a real job and quit picking on people who are trying to change the world?

    1. Anonymous, I am sure Christy is a good mom just like all the rest of us mothers, but motherhood has no bearing on her political abilities or ambition. As for being highly educated, she did not graduate from any of the universities she studied at,and while that doesn’t disqualify her from running the ship, it certainly speaks to her ability to finish what she started and is a smack in the face to many people who either worked hard to get their degree’s or to those who are facing half a life of student debt to get one.
She didn’t finish her degree, she quit politics when the going got tough and left her job at NW the first time political opportunity presented itself.
Prior to this win, she would not even show her commitment to continuing with the party if she failed at getting the leadership.

As for her helping all parents, have you any clue as to her real record from the last time she was in governmen, or are you just going on what has been fed out by her PR people? Because the truth is Christy Clark was personally responsible for many changes and cuts to both education and social services and ministry of children and families that adversely affected thousands of vulnerable kids and families in this province, to which we are all still feeling those changes so many years later.

  11. I totally agree with you Billy. The final outcome of Canada, is not going be a pretty one, what-so-ever. I read, Harper is afraid the anger of the other countries, may spread to Canada. There was to be a meeting over this concern. God knows, we Canadians are fed up with the corruption, we are drowning in. I don’t like Harper’s, hidden agenda one bit. Well, it’s not hidden if you know where to look.

As far as Christy Clark, only in the best place to live, would this happen. This is the real caliber, of the BC Liberals. I am not surprised. I have learned, never to expect anything better from them. In Campbell’s time in office, how many BC ministers have been under investigation? I have lost count. Campbell has done his structure of BC, on lies, deceit, corruption, thieving and cheating to win. Hopefully, the BC people will realize, Campbell is not going very far away. He has to see that, his dirty work for Harper is completed. Christy will do as Campbell says. She has already begun to.

Campbell was put into place to see to that and he has (with th aid of his handlers) done well —for THEM.

Helmet hair Harper did his part recently with his partner wind-up doll: Barry Soweto and signed into agreement the demise of CanaDUH

    http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1446.htm

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

In a shocking coup d’état said to rival Nazi Germany’s 1938 Anschluss (German for “link-up”) of the Austrian Republic, the United States this past week effectively took control of Canada creating what is being called by Russian diplomatic officials as the world’s first 21st Century “Superstate”.

The United States announcement of this “merger” between these two North American Nations was made February 4th by a posting on the WhiteHouse.Gov website of President Obama and which, in part, says:

“Today, President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Stephen Harper have directed the creation of a United States-Canada Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC), composed of senior regulatory, trade, and foreign affairs officials from both governments. In recognition of our $1 trillion annual trade and investment relationship, the RCC has a two-year mandate to work together to promote economic growth, job creation, and benefits to our consumers and businesses through increased regulatory transparency and coordination.

They have directed that the first meeting of the RCC be convened within 90 days by the relevant agencies in the United States and Canada.”

Concealed in the “diplo-speak” wording of this historic agreement, however, is the complete overturning of the sovereignty of both the American and Canadian peoples laws and regulations they have lived under for centuries, but which will now be “melded” together with no votes allowed by either of them ever again.

The shock and uproar in Canada over their Prime Minister’s, Steven Harper [photo 2nd left with Obama], signing away their sovereignty to the United States is unprecedented, but the same cannot be said of the American people who, according to Canada’s National Post, have not been allowed to know about it, and as we can read from their article titled “The security perimeter imaginarium of Dr. Harper”, and which, in part, says:

“The New York Times didn’t mention the Harper-Obama agreement (though it did quote some remarks the Prime Minister made about Egypt). There was a story inside the Wall Street Journal, but if any other U.S. media reported on the meeting and press conference, I can’t find it. There is no hint that the US Congress is interested either.”

Equally as shocking were the Canadian government’s deliberate actions to keep this merger secret from their own citizens, and as we can read as reported by the Toronto Star News Service in their article titled “Canada kept U.S. border talks under wraps” and which, in part, says:

“The federal government deliberately kept negotiations on a border deal with Washington secret while it planned ways to massage public opinion in favour of the pact, according to a confidential communications strategy.

You’re absolutely right. There is nothing hidden about his agenda if one bothered to look. I can also recommend Lawrence Martin’s Harperland. Much of the book is a reminder of Stevie’s misdeeds and his quotes and such. Amazing when it’s all packaged together in a book and Martin did add a few things, most of us wouldn’t know.

Just a thought on employment – had you or I made comments like Crusty Clarks, when going for an interview for a job, you can pretty much gaurantee that you would not get the job (for shop assistant, plumber, teacher or nurse) as it would indictae that there was something not right in the control centre !

It boggles the mind that the highest job in the province goes to someone who quite openly says that she is fascinated with “bottling farts” – amused at crushing beer cans with breasts and ponders poo and has a sniffing compulsion ???

It says a lot about maybe society or maybe just the BC Liberal party, their ethics and their mentality.

It kinda leaves a person speechless does it not !

    Thanks.

  15. Read this interesting tidbit today about Christy financing…

52% backed by Real Estate financing!
Here follows the results of an analysis of the sources of campaign donations to Christy Clark, new leader of the BC Liberal Party.
(Thanks to ‘Nemesis’ [at VREAA 27 Feb 2011] for the list [pdf here].)

    Methodology:
Each source was researched online, and classified by industry type, as best as possible based on available information.
Results were analyzed by number of contributors, and by dollar amounts.
Businesses classified as real estate related were developers, contractors, construction, property managers, realtors, and RE marketers.
A minority of sources (21 of 147) could not be reliably classified (for instance numbered or named corporations with no online presence, or individuals whose industry affiliations could not be ascertained) and they are classified accordingly.

    Results:
    Total contributions: $513,200*
    Total number of contributors: 147*
[*For the sake of this analysis, we have removed the single line item ’55 donations under $250′ and the $5,840 that they contributed.]

    Contributors & contributions by group:

    A. Contributor known to be affiliated primarily with RE related industry:
    (i) Number: 46/147
    (ii) Dollar amount: $267,250

    B. Contributor known to be affiliated primarily with industry that is not RE related:
    (i) Number: 80/147
    (ii) Dollar amount: $212,300

    C. Contributors where industry affiliation cannot be ascertained:
    (i) Number: 21/147
    (ii) Dollar amount: $33,650

Percentage of known industry affiliated contributions coming from contributors with known RE affiliation: 55.7% ($267,250 of $479,550)

Percentage of all contributions coming from contributors with known RE industry affiliation: 52.1% ($267,250 of $513,200)

    Comment:
We anticipated that the RE-affiliated portion would be large, but 52% is substantially larger than we expected, very much more than the percentage of our GDP made up by directly RE-related industry (20-22%, we believe).
Powerful vested interests means ongoing misallocation of resources.
The provincial and municipal governments will likely continue to do everything possible to perpetuate the speculative mania in Vancouver’s housing markets.
