They say a picture is worth a thousand words.. what does this one tell you?  ( And a reminder to scroll down and read the HST agreements that the government would rather you not see, and how far they would go to prevent that from happening.)

  1. I see a man who has worn many hats for the BC Liberal Government. In this morning’s Vancouver Province editorial they have stated that Finance Minister (shown above) Kevin Falcon knew in 2008 that Translink was being cheated out of $40 million per year and yet he did absolutely NOTHING to install turnstiles to stop the bleeding. He was the Minister responsible for Translink too, and he just sat on his hands not just for three years, but since 2004 when he became Transportation Minister because of the raid on the BC Legislature.

    When he was challenged by the “Straight” in 2008 on his needs to put tolls on the Port Mann Bridge, his reply to the newspaper was that it would be USERs who would be paying for crossing the bridge, not TAXPAYERS.

    Sky Train has been with us since 1986; The BC Liberals since 2001 as government. That’s ten years at forty million = $400 Million dollars going down the drain that TAXPAYERS have been supplementing the provincial government coffers because of fare cheaters not paying their fair share.

    1. I hate to say it, but I think the figures are far larger than they estimate. It is not only the indigent, poor and defiant youth who fare evade, but many professionals etc as well. I used to take Skytrain everyday to work in New Westminster. The number of business people who never paid more than one zone from Surrey when it is a two or three zone trip to cross the Fraser and go further, was astounding. When I asked people why they risked it, I was told because they are business people, they are never asked or questioned for proof of fare, and if they did pay for one zone only, the guards would let them go with a promise not to let it happen again. And if by rare, very rare occasion they were issued a ticket, they would give a fake name, claim they had no id and never pay it anyways..lol..

      The fare evasion issue has always been far worse than counted on, because sadly, the guards and police who check fares use cultural/social and racial profiling to do so, assuming if you are covered in tats, have pink hair, or look poor and homeless, that you are the fare evader, missing thousands of well dressed fare evaders who can well afford to pay but choose not to because they can.

      I can imagine the figures will prove themselves after the turnstills are installed.

  2. TAXPAYERS have been supplementing provincial government coffers for the past 10 years because the BC Lieberals are the absolute worst fiscal managers imaginable! They have over or underestimated every single budget they have presented, which is a sign that they really don’t know what they’re doing. It’s all guesses. Their attitude all along has been to give, lease and sell all of our resources and charge big business for as little as possible, while sticking it to citizens. I’d be surprised if we EVER find out just what awful shape we are in financially.

    And by the way, that frickin’ man looks like he just sucked a lemon! What a scary face to wake up to in the morning……

  6. The only thing left to steal in this province is, the HST from the BC people, to benefit big business. Falcon and Christy are behaving, demented, frantic, bizarre and telling outrageous lies to the people. They are using, threats, cheating and dirty tactics to mislead the BC citizens regarding, the HST tax grab. In that photo Falcon’s face, looks like he swallowed a turd.

    We traded, Campbell’s lizard eyes, and Hansen’s weasel face for, two other faces we hate the sight of. All of the BC Liberals, have faces of evil.

    And, while we’re at it. Harper reminds me of Russia’s Putin. Now that is, a scary thought. Campbell and Harper worked hand in hand, to destroy our province. They have a very close relationship. Campbell’s reward for doing Harper’s dirty work is, the very cushy job as High Commissioner in England. Harper embarrasses Canadians, AGAIN.

  7. I remember when Falcon was responsible for getting rid of “red tape” and repealing thousands of laws the BC Liberals thought were getting in the way of business. One of the laws he removed was a provision under consumer protection that prevented retail stores from posting the price of an item in large numerals that can be seen from the moon, and the information that the price only applies if you buy case lots or large numbers of the item in print you need a microscope to see. The practice is clearly designed to mislead the consumer; there can be no other purpose. So why remove a law that prevents it? That one act sums up the man as far as I’m concerned.

  11. For over ten years, our province has been battered by the BC Liberals. Not only by them, but, by Harper as well. We know Campbell is working for Harper, he did a lot of dirty work for him, the HST was one of those dirty jobs. Harper was drooling at the mouth for the HST. He, Campbell and Hansen, forced the HST onto the BC citizens.

    The Enbridge pipeline and the dirty oil tankers, Harper and Campbell intend to force that on the BC people as well. Campbell signed in favor of that atrocity, just before he left. One of Campbell’s jobs as High Commissioner is, to bring the dirty oil sands crude to England. That means, there will be tankers from England, China and the U.S. coming into our beautiful northern coast.

    Campbell would never had agreed to the referendum, unless it could be cheated. Falcon has threatened the BC citizens many times of what he will do if, the referendum is won by the people. Many of the HST ballots, are totally screwed up. There are far too many of them, to believe they are accidental. This is only one of the BC Liberals dirty tactics.

    Falcons evil face, is no different from Hansen, Campbell, Harper and Christy’s lying faces. Shame on them.
