Wishing all of you, the happiest of Easter!

From my family to yours, may this day be filled with warmth, joy and laughter.

There is a fragrance in the air, a certain passage of a song, an old photograph falling out from the pages of a book, the sound of somebody’s voice in the hall that makes your heart leap and fills your eyes with tears. Who can say when or how it will be that something Easters up out of the dimness to remind us of a time before we were born and after we will die?”

  3. And a Happy Easter to you as well, Laila. I hope you will be enjoying this beautiful sunny day. Love those eggs! I actually attempted to make Ukrainian Easter eggs several years ago in my ‘crafty’ days, but they didn’t turn out nearly as lovely as those in the picture.

    1. Thank you Luigi – I have received a few emails asking if I was Presbyterian because of it,but I am not. Spiritual, but not religious, but respect others choices, beliefs and faith. And this quote just seemed so indicative of the feeling most experience around Easter.

Christian or not, this is a time of renewal, rebirth and new growth.

      Happy Easter!

  4. Happy Easter Laila! Loved the Buechner quote! Spent much of the day lost in family history research – now for a dinner with loved ones. The past, present and future are always an elegant mix.

  5. Happy Easter Laila, I do enjoy your informative blog.
Have been searching internet for coverage of End HST Celebration event that I understood would be taking place in Victoria with Bill VanderZalm speaking at 1pm. but unable to locate any such info. Do you have any news of the event?

  6. Not only did I have Easter dinner twice..one with family and one with friends…the wild rabbits around my place also feasted this weekend. They ate all the greenery from the grape hyacinths I planted, all the pansy and violet greenery and my neighbour’s lily. 🙂 I guess they wanted an Easter celebration, too. 🙂
