Ding Dong.. the premier is gone!!!!

Can’t write, I am actually in tears. No, I’m not kidding. I watched it through tears of joy. One down.. more to go and next on my ‘ personal ‘  list is the man responsible for much of the financial secrecy in the Ministry of Transportation, Kevin Falcon.

Note to Falcon : Stop sounding so smug on the radio right now. You’re next. Then Ms. Shirley Bond.

  1. Thank God! I believe the real puppet masters have had enough and felt that Gordo and cronies were attracting too much attention. Inquiring minds, BT, LY, BCM, among others, were making things uncomfortable. Now if we could only have someone in the halls of power that has been instilled with some moral teachings that could help with in-depth inquiries re: BCRail, S2S, Port Mann, just to name a few. I continue to PRAY…

  4. The night of the last provincial election, I sat in on the chat session one of the bloggers hosted as the results came in. I remember you were so upset that you vowed to run in the next election (I hope you are still considering doing that). It would be the height of poetic justice if the story you broke on the shadow tolls was the was the straw that broke the Campbell’s back.

  8. I guess Campbell heard that a number of his caucus cohorts had gone shopping at The House Of Knives in preparation for the quickly called meeting by Van Dongen. We know he didn’t suddenly develop a conscience.

    It will be interesting to see who the Howe Streeters annoint as their next frontperson. My money is on Dianne Watts because she strikes me as the female version of Gordo.

    He needed to be gone for sure but in true Gordon Campbell style he left his party holding the bag. And who among them is smart enough or untainted enough to do it? No one on my radar.
    Is Carole James the answer?
    Who in the liberal party is going to want to take the job even given the situation? I’m sure Coleman would or Falcon but neither of these posses the leadership abilities or intelligence required. who then will run the province for the next two years?
    All bets seem to be on Diane Watts, ask yourself if you were her would you leave her position that she has rightfully built for herself to become an opposition leader for eternity as chief of a sunken Liberal party?
    This is a mess we may never resolve in our lifetimes and the cornerstone of it all has conveniently just dropped out.

  10. Diane in my opinion, would carry on with Campbell and company’s ways.

    What we the citizens must do, is continue to get to the bottom of the secret deals that have been made, following through with the recalls, and referendum. We cannot be sidetracked by this corrupt government and their friends and think because their leader steps aside, that things will change . Not.

    It is an attempt , in my opinion, to put us off from continuing with the good work that Laila, Mary, Grant, Ian etc have done and exposing what this party has really done to our province and our assets. There’s more than gordo involved. What do I keep hearing? Follow the money.

In the Vancouver Sun this morning, the implications of GMC resigning so quickly, but before doing so, acted on his own to hamstring the next BC Liberal leader by having implemented a complete overhaul of all ministries, made a 15% cut in personal taxes, and how the HST initiative vote will be handled makes me aware of just how much this man had his finger on the pulse that went down while he was Premier.

    BC Rail comes to mind, immediately, and the fact that, as Defense Lawyer Kevin McCulough often said “the fix was in”. Tell me again Premier Gordon Muir Campbell who said to pay off Dave Basi and Bobby Virk to keep the trial to its final bitter end? Why allow Martyn Brown and Brian G. Kenning to be roasted on the stand? Why cave in on the eve of Gary Collins taking the stand?

  15. Billy, the least Campbell should be doing re: Bilderberg is repaying the 16+ Thousand dollars of OUR money he used to go there! It was a “personal” invitation to him alone, no one else was allowed to tend with him…and he is NEVER allowed to speak of what he heard there. How does that serve us? It doesn’t.

    We don’t know who he’s serving, but no matter who it is – he does NOT have the right to use our money for personal meetings not related to provincial business. If he states it was provincial business, then he better be coughing up with minutes of the meeting to prove it. Or – repay the money. I’m sure Mr. Rockefeller won’t mind.

    Where were his press people, where were his peers?
    Why were no others there? Some flags and cheap white curtains were all that was there and a lone Gordon Campbell.
    Was anyone else aware that this was even happening but himself and a friendly camera man an a few press buddies?
    And then today the big one, I’m not going anywhere right now its business as usual!
    I think everyone including his own party are shocked and don’t know how to deal with this guy, this is anything but rational, has he lost it?
    Is this a strategy to try and stifle the recall process? To buy time and then announce later he’s staying?
    What I think is this guy is capable of some pretty unimaginable things.
    We should be careful not to let any guard down in the coming days.
    I’ll believe he’s gone when he’s gone.

    That obviously isn’t referring to any cases that have been proven in a court of law – as if there were courts of law in the banana republic of BeeCee that actually dispensed justice anyway. Not only have Gordo’s policies been responsible for local UNECESSARY deaths, mainly due to the withdrawal of medical services within reasonable distances and times (hospital closures, removal of services at the remaining facilities, the starving of ambulance services in the hinterlands) but untold unnecessary suffering and expense have been wreaked on people as well. Well, when people suffer and or die as the result of another’s actions – IT IS PERSONAL. And eventually if the people cannot resolve inequity and find justice through civil and/or political means, eventually the people’s limits will be reached and stuff happens. As Thomas Jefferson and his colleagues wrote almost 250 years ago:

    ….Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, ……………….

    It is no accident that the emerging plutocracies here and to the south are building the power of the police, but there are ultimately more of us than them and a well armed power is eventually helpless when it is wrong and in the minority as the French found out in Algeria, the US in Vietnam and the Soviet Union all over its periphery.

    For now too many people are satisfied with trinkets, flat screen TeeVees, cars and boats and fast food – but when a critical mass can’t find a roof to watch their HD TeeVee beneath or afford gas to run their toys etc. the plutocrats will have to run for their lives – when there is nothing left to eat (except cake) EAT THE RICH!

If you could actually read and comprehend instead of trying to present yourself as the only person here that actually knows what is going on it would be clear to you that my original comment re: the grassy knoll was a humorous way to point out that HE REALLY ISN”T GONE and isn’t going anywhere soon and ultimately it doesn’t matter as he is only the figurehead for the local B.C. chapter of a cancer on the face of the earth or the greed is good club.

  31. While i am not a Liberal supporter,as long as Ms. James is running the NDP i wont be an NDP supporter either. But now that Campbell is stepping down do you think a forensic audit would be possible to find out what,where,when and to whom Campbell sold our province to?Also i would like to ask since when is the Deputy Chief of staff hire people for the ministers didnt they always hire their own or use the ones that were already in that position,and for the pay and expense account i think it rivals some presidents.Who is she and how did she come to have so much power no one seems to know or are willing to say anything about her. The newspapers would have had a field day with the NDP or any other goverment that has done so much harm to the province. Where are they,I have lost all respect for reporters and TV news,they dont deserve to call themselves professionals.
